  • The course will be open to the next category only after the last rider in an event has finished and until 10 minutes before start time of the next event. This could mean that the course will NOT BE OPEN prior to some events. Riders on the course during closures will be subject to immediate disqualification.
  • Each race will be led by a motorcycle. Any rider caught by the motorcycle is considered to have been lapped and must pull off the course at the end of the lap on which they are caught by the moto. Riders not pulling off when lapped will be subject to fines. Riders off the front of the field may not accept assistance from riders who have lost contact with the back of the field [disqualification for accepting such assistance]. This rule may not be applied in the youth event but will apply to all other categories.

** Re: Lapping **

1. Should a single rider lap the field, the race will continue. Results will reflect those riders as lapped.

2. If two or more riders have lapped a substantial group of riders, the lapped riders will sprint early (two to four laps before the end of the race), then retire. The decision to do this will be communicated to the riders several laps in advance of the sprint (USA Cycling Org Rule 3D8)
